If off-road riding is your style, check out the Catskill Scenic Trail, a 19 mile Rails-To-Trails project that stretches from Grand Gorge in the northern end of the county to Bloomville (near Delhi in the county's center). The Catskill Scenic Trail, which parallels Route 10, has been constructed on the rail bed of the former Ulster & Delaware Rail Road and features nearly flat terrain with gorgeous views as it winds its way over streams and through forests and farmland. Along the route, the CST passes through the villages of Stamford, Hobart and South Kortright, where services are available. |

Plattekill Mountain |

April to November, Plattekill Mountain a.k.a. "Bike" Plattekill, features over 60 miles of lift-served mountain bike trails and is host to a series of N.O.R.B.A. sanctioned (National Off-Road Biking Association) mountain bike races. Plattekill also features chair lift rides, hiking trails and camping and is also available for private parties, banquets and weddings. |

The Catskill Scenic Trail lies on top of the former rail bed of the Ulster & Delaware Railroad. The 19 mile Rails to Trails project offers a hard-packed surface that makes it perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing. A unique feature of the trail is the very gentle grade. Young and old will find thin an easy and enjoyable trek through some of the most beautiful countryside in the world. |

Each hour-long trail ride is led by an experienced rider who will see to your safety as they point out some of the interesting nature along the way. The trails will lead you through pristine woods and offer breathtaking views of the mountains that you would never see from any other vantage point. Our horses are very trustworthy and are used for both experienced and inexperienced riders. We offer trail rides for individuals or groups of up to 8 people. |

The Delaware and Ulster is an excursion train that combines railroad nostalgia with scenic rides through New York's legendary Catskill Mountains. Round trip excursions from Arkville to Roxbury depart on weekends from the end of May through October. Trains also depart Thursday and Friday during July and August. |
